Whenever Yeti goes out in public, his family in Texas knows he is going to get a lot of attention.

He is a very unique-looking Rottweiler. Yeti has a condition called vitiligo, which gives him a beautifully spotted nose and makes him look a bit like a baby deer.

When people come up to him, Yeti is always thrilled to say hello. He will meet a stranger for the first time and instantly become their best friend.

But before Yeti came into their lives, his future owner in Texas had a very different view of the breed.

They had been attacked by a Rottweiler in the past. That traumatic experience left them with a lot of reservations, making them very nervous around the breed.

A Photograph Changes Everything

People often warned the owner that Rottweilers could be unpredictable.

Because of the past attack, those warnings echoed loudly in their mind.

Everything shifted, however, when a friend sent over a photograph of a special dog.

Looking at the picture of the spotted-nosed Rottweiler, the owner felt an immediate, undeniable pull.

Despite all their fears, they looked at the photo and said, “I have to have this dog.”

Knowing that this dog was meant to be part of their family, they didn’t hesitate.

They booked a flight and traveled all the way to Texas to meet Yeti in person.

Any lingering anxiety about meeting a Rottweiler vanished the moment they were introduced.

Yeti didn’t show an ounce of aggression or hesitation.

Instead, he immediately melted right into his new owner’s arms.

As they learned more about Yeti, they discovered just how much the sweet dog had already been through.

Yeti had been found running loose on the streets.

Tragically, during his time as a stray, he was struck by a school bus.

The accident left him badly hurt and in urgent need of medical attention.

He was scheduled for surgery to help him recover from the trauma.

Yeti’s new owner worked in veterinary medicine, regularly handling radiographs and even amputations.

They decided to take Yeti’s radiographs themselves.

Given the dog’s painful injuries and scary past, no one would have blamed him for being defensive.

Instead, Yeti completely trusted his new owner and calmly lay down for the exam.

He sat there patiently, as if to say, “I know you’re trying to help.”

Yeti’s gentle demeanor during his medical care proved that he was something truly special.

The owner wasn’t nervous at all while treating him.

As he healed, his quirky, joyful personality began to shine through.

His tail simply never stopped wagging, no matter what he was doing.

It became incredibly easy for the owner to put their past fears aside.

With his medical hurdles behind him, Yeti started settling into his new life.

He absolutely loves other dogs, though he is still learning proper social cues.

He was soon introduced to his new sibling, a dog named Sai.

Sai was incredibly patient, helping Yeti understand the rules of doggy playtime.

When Yeti gets a little too excited, Sai gently lets him know when it’s too much.

Yeti takes Sai’s corrections in stride, proving just how sweet his disposition really is.

He is always incredibly gentle with her, offering soft sniffs and kisses.

The dog who had survived being hit by a bus now spends his days spreading pure joy.

He doesn’t have a single mean bone in his body.

For an owner who once feared his breed, Yeti has proven to be the nicest Rottweiler they have ever met in their entire life.
