Curious Texas Dog Kept Watching The Baby As Her New Little Sister Began Exploring The House
Zara the dog and little Gia have grown up side-by-side. From sharing snacks to howling duets, their sibling bond is nothing short of beautiful.
A Confusing New Arrival

When little Gia first came home in Texas, her furry older sister wasn’t quite sure what to make of the tiny addition to the family. Zara the dog had always been a vocal and expressive pup, but this new arrival left her completely baffled.
At first, Zara just stared at the baby. Her family joked that she looked at Gia and wondered, “What is this fake thing doing?”
Despite her initial confusion, instinct quickly took over. Zara seemed to understand immediately that Gia was a new member of their pack, and she knew she had to protect her.
Growing Up As Siblings

Because they are so close in age, the two girls have naturally grown up as siblings. Zara is two and a half years old, while Gia will be turning two in May.
Their bond didn’t have to be forced. It just happened organically as they spent their days side-by-side.
Now, the two of them are completely inseparable. They just want to be with each other all the time.
A Major Turning Point

While Zara was always gentle and protective, their relationship truly blossomed when Gia reached a few major milestones. The dynamic shifted from protector and baby to true playmates.
A key turning point in their friendship was when Gia started eating solid food. Suddenly, Zara had a very vested interest in what her little sister was doing.
When Gia started walking, the house changed completely. The two could finally explore their world together on their own four—and two—legs.
Sharing Is Caring

Zara has always been naturally gentle with her tiny human. That gentle nature makes it easy for the family to trust them together during snack time.
Gia is more than happy to share her treats with Zara. The family often catches Gia sneaking a little bit of her food to her furry best friend.
Their bond is so strong that it even influenced Gia’s language development. In fact, Gia’s very first word was “pup.”
The Christmas Microphone

While they always loved playing together, the holidays brought a hilarious new dimension to their friendship. The family bought Gia a stand-up microphone for Christmas.
It didn’t take long for the musical toy to become a household favorite. But Gia wasn’t the only one who wanted to use it.
The singing routines just happened naturally. Every time Gia steps up to the mic, Zara knows it’s her cue to join in.
A Howling Duet

Whenever Gia starts singing—or at least, making her best attempt at singing—Zara simply cannot contain herself. She immediately throws her head back and starts howling.
The two of them perform their loud, joyful duets right in the middle of the living room. Zara’s vocal personality shines brightest when she’s backing up her little sister.
The family is still trying to work out who the actual lead singer is. At the moment, the two divas playfully fight for that top spot.
Two Peas In A Pod

Both girls absolutely love the limelight. Whether they are singing or just playing around the house, they know how to command a room.
Their parents describe them as two peas in a pod. They do absolutely everything together.
From throwing the ball in the yard to going for afternoon walks, they are constant companions. They even go swimming together.
A Blossoming Future

Watching Zara and Gia grow up together has been a beautiful experience for the family. The dog who once wondered what the “fake thing” was is now a devoted big sister.
Their days are filled with laughter, shared snacks, and plenty of loud, howling concerts.
As Gia gets older, her family is excited to see how their relationship continues to blossom. They know this beautiful friendship will only continue to change, grow, and evolve.
