Recently, she was hired to clean a house that was suffering from a severe mouse infestation. The situation inside the home was overwhelming, and it was clear the resident needed serious help getting things back in order.

But as Haas began her work, she noticed something she hadn’t expected to find in the middle of the chaos. There, amidst the difficult living conditions, was a pet bird named Peaches.

A Startling Discovery

Hoagie had a reputation for being exceptionally good at teaching other dogs how to play. Now, he was about to use his gentle nature to help a tiny bird come out of her shell.

Because of the significant size difference, Haas makes sure to keep them on different levels for safety. Yet, Hoagie’s awareness of Peaches’ small size continues to boggle her mind.

Learning How To Play

One of the saddest realities of Peaches’ past was that she didn’t know how to play with toys when she first arrived. She had to learn how to simply be a bird.

With Hoagie’s calm presence and Haas’s patient encouragement, Peaches slowly began to discover her playful side. The transformation was beautiful to watch.

Now, the once-timid bird loves to engage in little sneak attacks. She playfully hides and pops out, showing off her newly discovered vibrant personality.

For Haas, the entire journey has been about giving this sweet creature a chance at true happiness. “I just want good things for her,” she shared.
