Henry is nothing short of a wild child in his home.
In fact, his family affectionately gave him the nickname “the terrorist” because he simply doesn’t realize how big he is.
He approaches every day with an explosive amount of energy, completely oblivious to his own size and strength.
The Master of Destruction
When it comes to toys, Henry takes no prisoners.
He has completely destroyed all of his favorite playthings, even diving headfirst into a toy box just to get to his next target.
He has ruined more dog beds than his family can even count, operating under the firm belief that anything with stuffing needs to be immediately unstuffed.
A Heartbreaking Condition
Despite his boundless energy, Henry’s early days were incredibly difficult.
When his owner first brought him home, his front legs were devastatingly weak, resembling little “chicken wings.”
Henry was diagnosed with bilateral radial luxation, a severe condition that caused his front legs to cross and form almost an ‘X’ shape when looking at him from the front.

Because of his severe luxation, Henry was forced to walk on his wrists and elbows just to get around.
His family had to be incredibly vigilant, doing everything in their power to prevent him from jumping off furniture and injuring his fragile legs further.

To give Henry the freedom he desperately wanted, his family got him a specialized quad wheelchair.
His first time in the chair was a bit chaotic, with Henry “spazzing out” as he tried to figure out how his new wheels worked.
But with a few cookies and some gentle encouragement, he began to realize that the chair was his ticket to independence.

Then, something entirely unexpected happened.
One day, as Henry was going about his routine, his front legs simply straightened out on their own.

Henry doesn’t navigate his new life alone; he shares his home with two other dogs, Trevor and Dailey.

While Trevor may have taught Henry a few bad habits, he also taught the wild child how to mind his manners and be respectful.
