“I was like, ‘Oh, this whole time you didn’t even speak English!'” his foster mom realized with a laugh.
Her husband then did a specific Mexican whistle that his own family used, and Eclipse came running right to him, his tail finally wagging.
A Completely Different Dog
That simple connection bridged the gap for the scared dog.
“This is a different dog now,” his foster mom noted. Hearing familiar sounds made Eclipse feel like he could finally be comfortable in this new house.
He started trying to engage, slowly coming out of his shell. Soon, Eclipse became the perfect energy in their family, bringing joy to their daily routine.

Chucky had been pulled from a neglect situation and ended up waiting in a rescue for over six years.
After a family lost their senior pit bull rescue, they saw Chucky online. The wife immediately told her husband, “You’ve gotta go get Chucky. He needs a home.”
With older dogs, they don’t ask for much—just comfort, love, and a place to belong.

As soon as Chucky walked into his new home, he knew he finally belonged.
Because he felt so safe, he was able to relax almost instantly. In fact, he hasn’t stopped smiling since the day he arrived.
