A Curious Chase Gone Wrong
A field rescue team recently received an urgent call about a dog in a very tight spot.
What started as a chaotic chase quickly turned into a delicate rescue mission.
According to the team, a big dog named Nova had been chasing a cat.
The chase led both animals straight underneath a parked car.
While the nimble cat managed to jump up and escape, Nova wasn’t so lucky. She ended up getting stuck halfway through the vehicle’s undercarriage.
Assessing the Tangled Mess
When the rescuer arrived, they had to carefully evaluate Nova’s position.
The first priority was making sure the dog wasn’t dangerously entangled in any of the car’s mechanical parts.
Reaching underneath, the rescuer gently maneuvered the trapped pup.
“Let me just make sure we’re not actually entangled on anything,” the rescuer noted while working in the cramped space.
Thankfully, they were soon able to get one of Nova’s legs free.
Up and Over to Safety
With one leg free, the team could finally start pulling Nova to safety.
The rescuer spoke softly to the frightened dog, saying, “Hey, pumpkin! I’ll get you out of here.”
Working together, they carefully pulled her up and over the remaining obstacles.
“Here we go, mama,” the rescuer encouraged as Nova was finally pulled from the tight space.
The Wiggliest Survivor
Once Nova was out from under the car, her true personality immediately shined through.
Despite her terrifying ordeal, she wasn’t shut down or aggressive.
Instead, her rescuers described her as “the happiest, wiggliest little dog.”
The team set her down on the ground to see if she had sustained any injuries during the incident.
“Let’s see if you walk, okay?” they said. To their delight, Nova began to walk perfectly.
A Lap Dog at Heart
It didn’t take long for Nova to show her rescuers exactly what she wanted out of life.
She didn’t want to run or chase anymore; she just wanted love.
