For a while, Otis hadn’t received a whole lot of adoption interest. But one day, the volunteer arrived to find a family looking at him.

Swept Off Her Feet
As the weeks turned into months, Otis’s true personality began to shine brighter than ever. He was finally coming completely out of his shell.
Two months into knowing him, the volunteer took him out after a rainy day. The play yards were muddy, and Otis was full of joyful energy.
He got a massive case of the zoomies and accidentally ran right into her, literally sweeping her off her feet. She landed flat on her back in the mud, embarrassed but laughing at just how genuinely happy the sweet dog had become.

The volunteer had secretly been planning to adopt Otis for the longest time. Unfortunately, the place she was living at didn’t allow dogs of his size.
She was scheduled to move into a new home in June, and she made a promise to herself: if he was still waiting by then, she would be the one to take him home.
