A Simple Game Of Fetch Changes Everything
The adorable daily routine didn’t start out as a major production. Two years ago, Goose and his dad were simply playing a normal game of fetch.
When Goose decided he wanted to keep the stick instead of dropping it, his dad happily obliged. “Cool, I let him take it,” his dad recalled, thinking the moment was just a cute, isolated incident.
They didn’t make it an everyday habit right away. But that single moment planted a seed in the little dog’s mind about the joy of bringing his treasures home.
A Tiny Dog With A Massive Prize

They greet him with big smiles and encouraging words. “Hey, what’s up, buddy? Good to see you,” one doorman cheerfully told him. “You bring me a tree? Okay, go ahead. Very good.”
Navigating The Elevator Ride Home
Once past the front desk, Goose faces his final logistical challenge: the elevator. With a stick that wide, walking straight in simply isn’t an option.
His dad has to carefully turn the little dog sideways just to get him and his giant stick through the elevator doors.
Once they finally make it inside the apartment, Goose is satisfied. He drops his prize, letting his dad know that his little achievement for the day is complete.
From A Tiny Puppy To A Big Deal
Looking at Goose now, it’s hard for his dad to believe how much he has grown. When he first brought the dachshund home, Goose weighed only a pound and a half.
He was so incredibly tiny that a standard tennis ball was literally half the size of his entire body.
Now, that once-tiny puppy has grown into a confident, strong little dog who insists on carrying pieces of nature that dwarf him.
Spreading Joy One Stick At A Time
Goose’s daily stick-carrying routine has accidentally turned him into a local celebrity. Every time they go for a walk, at least one person recognizes him.
People excitedly point and ask, “Is this big stick Goose?” Some fans even stop them on the street, shouting, “Wait, hold on. I know this dog! Hello, you’re famous!”
