A Casual Sunday Visit
It was supposed to be a simple, quick stop. A couple had just gotten out of church in Texas and decided to swing by the local animal shelter.
Their plan was just to visit some of the dogs and take a few pictures to post online, hoping to help them get adopted.
They had no intention of bringing a new pet home that day. But fate, it seemed, had a completely different plan waiting for them in the small dog room.
The Shut-Down Pup
As they walked through the small dog room, one particular kennel caught their eye. Inside was a tiny dog curled up in a tight ball.
She looked completely shut down. As the couple approached, she briefly lifted her head before dropping it right back down in defeat.
