California Dog Outgrew Her “Cute” Stage And Was Locked Away Until A Stranger Refused To Give Up

She was bought as a toy for a child, but when she got older, she was locked in a tiny cage. A California stranger saw the hope in her eyes and refused to walk away.

A Forgotten Toy

She was originally brought home for a heartbreaking reason: her family wanted her as a toy for their child. As a tiny puppy, she fit the bill perfectly.

But puppies inevitably grow up. When she got a bit older, her family decided she simply wasn’t “cute” anymore.

Instead of finding her a better home, they locked her away. She was confined to a cage far too small for her growing body.
