Rescuer Sees California Dog Trying To Cool Off In A Tiny Dirty Bowl And Knows Something Is Wrong
When a rescuer found a sweet dog trying to cool off in a tiny, dirty water bowl, she knew she had to help. What started with a kiddie pool eventually led to a beautiful new life.
Bringing A Little Relief
Determined to improve the dog’s quality of life, the rescuer returned with an armful of surprises. “Look what I have! It’s a kiddie pool for puppy!” the rescuer announced.
Along with the much-needed pool, she brought fresh food and a brand-new collar to help the dog feel more comfortable.
Because chaining dogs is illegal in the state of California, the rescuer also set up a proper runner system so the pup could move around safely.
Doing Everything To Help
The rescuer made it a point to visit the property a couple of times. She brought more and more supplies, hoping to support the family in caring for their pet.
“Owned animals belong in their homes, not in our shelter,” the rescuer explained, noting that surrendering a pet is always considered a last resort.
Every time the rescuer arrived, the dog’s reaction was pure joy. She would jump up with her tail wagging, desperate for any shred of attention.
A Difficult But Necessary Choice
Despite the extra toys, bedding, and dog food, the dog’s overall situation remained largely unchanged. The rescuer sat down with the owners to discuss their options.
Ultimately, the family realized they simply couldn’t provide the care she needed and deserved.
They agreed to surrender the sweet dog, making a difficult but selfless decision that would give her a chance at a better future.
A Scary New World
The rescuer gently loaded the dog into the car and brought her back to the local shelter.

The Best Morning Routine
Bea acclimated to her new family beautifully, bringing immense joy to their daily lives.
Every morning starts with a special routine. Her mom lets her out of her crate, gives her a big snuggle, and then walks over to make the bed.
Bea loves to jump right into the unmade bed, looking up and waiting patiently for more pets. “Bea really is the light of our life,” her mom shared.

To celebrate her new life, Bea’s family decided to take her on a special trip to the beach.
They wanted to show her that water didn’t just mean a tiny, dirty bowl in a lonely yard. They wanted her to know that the beach and the water were fun, joyful experiences.
