At the time, Blue’s rescuer was living far from home. She was residing in Albania, pursuing her passion and playing soccer.
When the local shelter took the puppy in, they reached out to her with a special request. They asked if she would be willing to foster the little dog.
She happily agreed to give Blue a temporary safe haven until they could find his forever home.
A Bittersweet Farewell
For a few weeks, Blue thrived in his foster home. He soaked up the love and care he had been missing on the streets.
Eventually, the day they had been working toward finally arrived. Blue was officially adopted by a local family.
Shortly after, his foster mom packed her bags to leave Albania. She was incredibly sad to say goodbye to the puppy she had bonded with, but she left feeling relieved that he was safe and off the streets.

Despite the massive distance between them, she was determined to get Blue back into her arms.
A Long Journey Across The World

The biggest hurdle was finding a flight volunteer who could safely escort the growing pup. Finally, they found someone willing to travel with Blue from Albania to Kosovo.
From there, he was boarded onto a long flight, officially beginning his journey to Hawaii.
Tears Of Joy At The Airport
After months of waiting and worrying, the day of their reunion finally arrived. His mom waited anxiously at the airport for his flight to land.
When Blue was finally wheeled out in his travel crate, the emotions took over. She immediately burst into tears at the sight of him.
“We couldn’t believe that he was there,” she shared. The instant relief washed over her—her boy was finally home.
