One California Great Dane Brings The Chaos While His Brother Just Wants Everyone To Calm Down
Living with two California Great Danes is like having extra humans in the house. For this owner, her chaotic, gentle giants are a beautiful continuation of a lifelong bond.
A House Full Of Giants

Living with a large dog is a unique experience.
Living with two massive California Great Danes takes that experience to an entirely new level.
For one devoted dog mom, her home is constantly filled with the towering presence of her two best friends.
Every single day is an adventure in navigating around her oversized, fiercely loyal companions.
The Laundry Room Helpers

Even the simplest household chores become a group activity.
Every single time their owner steps into the laundry room, the dogs are immediately interested in what she is doing.
They hover nearby, watching her every move as she sorts the clothes.
She even encourages them to help out, gently telling them, “Good boy. Let’s put it in the basket.”
Zero Personal Space

Despite their massive stature, these dogs have no idea just how big they really are.
“They don’t know what personal space is,” their owner laughs.
They squeeze into tight spots and lean against her at every opportunity.
They truly believe they are tiny lap dogs, completely oblivious to their giant size.
A Beautiful Kind Of Chaos

Navigating a house with two Great Danes requires a lot of patience and a good sense of humor.
“Sometimes it can be a little chaotic, for sure,” she admits.
Moving from room to room often involves a lot of polite requests to clear the path.
It’s a daily routine of saying “Excuse me,” and gently pushing their heavy bodies out of the way because they are always right underneath her feet.
Two Distinct Personalities

Though they share the same impressive breed, the two dogs couldn’t be more different.
“Each have their own personality. It is like having another human in the house,” their owner explains.
Dolce is the wild card of the family.
She is incredibly outgoing, highly energetic, and always the one to initiate playtime.
The Peacemaker

While Dolce is busy being the instigator, her brother Dior takes a completely different approach to life.
Dolce is always the one antagonizing Dior, trying to get him riled up.
But Dior just wants everybody to be cool and relaxed.
“He wants everything to be smooth sailing and not a lot of hectic behavior,” his mom says.
A Lifelong Connection

For this dog mom, sharing her home with such massive animals is second nature.
She has always had a remarkably special connection with Great Danes.
Growing up as an only child, she relied on the breed for companionship and comfort.
They were her constant shadows, filling the quiet moments of her childhood with unconditional love.
Protectors On The Trail

Her fondest memories involve the Great Danes she grew up with.
When her family went camping, the dogs were the ones she wandered off with on the trails.
At night, they slept in her room, providing a deep sense of security.
“I felt protected,” she recalls, remembering the gentle giants who watched over her.
Hearts As Big As Their Bodies

Today, Dolce and Dior carry on that beautiful legacy in her adult life.
“Because they are so big, your heart can just grow so much bigger with them,” she explains.
Despite their intimidating size, they just want to be gentle and loving.
She simply can’t imagine her life without Great Danes by her side, filling her home with beautiful, giant-sized love.
