A Heartbreaking Arrival
When little Levi first arrived in Florida, his situation looked incredibly grim.
The tiny French bulldog puppy weighed just a pound and a half.
He was a frail, scrawny mess who slept almost all the time, lacking the energy a normal puppy should have.
In fact, his condition was so serious that his future was uncertain.
A Glimmer Of Hope
Despite the heartbreaking initial prognosis, Levi’s caretakers refused to give up on him.
With proper veterinary attention and careful monitoring, they discovered a much more hopeful truth.
It turned out the little pup wasn’t terminal at all—he was just severely malnourished.
With the right food and care, his skin started improving, and his true personality began to emerge.
An Unlikely Friendship
As Levi began to heal, he was introduced to a very special foster sibling.
Shelby was a massive dog weighing in at 125 pounds, a stark contrast to the tiny pound-and-a-half puppy.

Learning The Ropes
Shelby took on the role of a foster mother and mentor for the recovering puppy.
Because Levi had missed out on crucial early socialization, Shelby had a lot to teach him.
She patiently showed Levi how to play and how to properly get along with other dogs.
Their favorite activity quickly became a gentle, goofy game of “bitey face.”
Gentle Corrections
Puppies often don’t know their own strength, and Levi was no exception during playtime.
When the little Frenchie would bite down a bit too hard, Shelby had a brilliant way of handling it.
She wouldn’t get up and leave, and she never got rough with him in return.
Instead, she would simply rest her big, heavy head on his tiny body, pinning him just enough so he couldn’t bite her for a minute to calm him down.
A Beautiful Transformation
Thanks to the medical care he received and the constant companionship of Shelby, Levi thrived.
He completely shed his former identity as a frail, sickly little puppy.

Moving In With Pit Bulls
Levi soon found a wonderful forever home, but it came with some new, large siblings.
He moved into a house that was already home to two pit bulls.
Because of Shelby’s excellent tutoring, it was a very easy transition for the brave little Frenchie.
However, his new siblings weren’t quite sure what to make of him at first.
A Big Dog Personality
In the beginning, the two pit bulls didn’t want much to do with Levi simply because he was so incredibly tiny.
But Levi had a secret weapon: his massive, outgoing personality.
His complete unwillingness to admit that he was small eventually won the big dogs over.
Today, he rocks a huge “big dog” personality, completely unintimidated by the world around him, proving that the strongest spirits often come in the smallest packages.
