A crowded Texas animal shelter is a terrifying place for any dog.
But for a heavily pregnant mother, the loud noises and stressful environment are especially overwhelming.
When one rescue advocate saw the reality of this sweet dog’s situation, she knew she had to step in.
The rescuer was scrolling online when she came across a live video from the Texas shelter.
The pregnant dog was actively having her babies right there in her kennel.
Dogs were barking relentlessly in the background, and the new mother looked absolutely terrified.
“The look in her eyes, it’s just so sad to see them like that,” her future foster mom recalled.
