A Heartbreaking Discovery
Today, their home is filled with nonstop entertainment and two dogs with incredibly big personalities.
But before the chaos and the endless playtime, both dogs had a rough start to life.
It all began when the SPCA made a heartbreaking discovery on the side of a road in Hawaii.
Someone had abandoned a box containing a litter of five helpless puppies near a local farm.
Nursing a Tiny Pup Back to Health
The family decided to go take a look at the rescued litter, and that is when they met Boone.
At the time, Boone was just a tiny puppy weighing only three or four pounds.
He was dealing with several health issues, including worms and skin infections.
His new family immediately got him medicated and dedicated themselves to taking care of all his health issues.
A Big Personality Emerges
As Boone healed, his true spirit began to shine through.
He proved to be full of energy, possessing more character than his family had ever seen in a dog.
He even developed a signature “pouty face” that he uses whenever he wants someone to pay attention to him.
Seeing how affectionate and energetic Boone was, his family decided it was time to get him a buddy.
A Mother’s Desperate Plea
Their search for a second dog led them to Beau, a pup with an incredible survival story of his own.
Beau was rescued all the way in Tijuana, Mexico, after a desperate mother dog sought help.
The brave mom had dug a hole in the side of a mountain to keep her babies safe.
She then miraculously led rescuers directly to the hidden litter of puppies.
