Idaho Dog Was Returned To The Shelter After Just Three Days For Being “Too Big And Not Good In Car”
A sweet rescue dog named Seko was overlooked and returned to Idaho shelter, but a special connection with his new family changed his life forever.
A Heartbreaking Shelter Note
When a sweet black dog found himself waiting in a shelter, he was simply hoping for a second chance at a real family. He had already experienced the heartbreak of a failed adoption, leaving him longing for someone who would truly understand him.
Fortunately, two compassionate people saw past his shelter status and recognized the beautiful soul waiting inside. They knew they had to give him the life he deserved.

The Best Co-Pilot

Incredibly, both of his new parents also have facial scars. His dad has a scar on his eyebrow that he’s had for years, and Cassie has a scar on her cheek.

The Perfect Houseguest
The first few days at home were an interesting adjustment period. It took a little time for Seko to realize that he finally had a home and people of his own.

They made the bold decision to break their apartment lease. They searched for and found a home with a yard where Seko could run and play freely.
They admit that some people might call them a little bit crazy for moving just for their dog.
But for them, it was a simple choice. They knew they would do whatever it takes to be there for him.
A Lifetime Bond
The difficult life Seko experienced before the shelter is now just a distant memory. The impact he has had on his family’s lives has been profound.
When his parents got married, Seko was right there with them. He proudly carried their rings down the aisle and was part of their special day.
His dad even calls him his “secret first kiss” from the wedding. He is a lifetime dog that they will always cherish.
