A Desperate Plea For Help
Beau was sitting in a crowded shelter, rapidly running out of time. He had been found wandering the streets in Arizona, either lost or abandoned by his previous family.

The Long Journey Home
The rescue relay continued the very next day. A third volunteer loaded Beau into their car and drove him from Phoenix all the way to Los Angeles.
After spending another safe night in California, a fourth driver took him from LA up to Fresno. Beau was being passed from loving hand to loving hand.
Fresno was the final meeting point. That is where Shania’s family finally picked him up, loaded him into their own car, and drove him back to Washington.
After days of travel and months of uncertainty, Beau was finally safe.
His First Taste Of Freedom
When Beau finally arrived at his new home in Washington, the atmosphere was incredibly emotional. His family could hardly believe he was actually there.
On his very first night, they decided to take him for a run around the block. Beau absolutely loved the experience.

Now that he feels completely comfortable, he is incredibly affectionate. If they stop petting him for even two seconds, he politely paws at them for more love and attention.
Grateful For Every Moment
The family was incredibly impressed by how domesticated Beau actually was right off the bat. Even when he is off the leash in the backyard, he prefers to stay close by their side.
Meal times are a particularly special event in their household. Beau is so grateful to be fed that he circles his family like a shark, his tail constantly wagging with excitement.
Because of his intense gratitude for food, his family suspects he really struggled to survive on the streets before he was found.
But those hard days are permanently behind him. Today, Beau is endlessly loved, well-fed, and will never have to worry about the essentials in his life ever again.
