An Unexpected Encounter
Finding a helpless animal in need is never something you plan for.
For one compassionate woman, a regular day took a sudden turn when she spotted a tiny figure left all alone.
It was a French bulldog puppy, sitting abandoned beside the road.
“Yes, that was not on my agenda to find a Frenchie abandoned beside the road,” she recalled of the surprising discovery.
Searching For Answers
Hoping the little dog had just wandered away from home, she immediately jumped into action.
She went door-to-door in the neighborhood, asking anyone if they recognized the pup.
Unfortunately, she hit a dead end when a neighbor confirmed that the dog did not belong to her.
With no owner in sight and the puppy clearly needing medical attention, she knew she had to step up.
A Heartbreaking Diagnosis
She rushed the little Frenchie to the veterinarian to figure out what was wrong with his skin.
The vet quickly diagnosed the puppy with a condition known as “puppy strangles,” which causes painful swelling and scabbing.

“I just thought, ‘Okay, we’re gonna get this puppy healthy, and I’ll find him a great home,'” she explained.
Her main goal was to heal his skin and make sure he felt safe and loved in the meantime.

Under her careful watch, Indy’s condition slowly began to improve.
His little scabs started clearing up beautifully, revealing the handsome dog underneath.
As he healed physically, his true personality began to shine through.
He even started heading to work with his foster mom, enjoying pup cups and soaking up all the attention.

The family was already hesitant about adding a third dog to their pack.
But Indy had a special trick up his sleeve: he absolutely loved going for rides.
“All of our dogs love a golf cart ride. And Indy is no different,” his rescuer shared.
