California Dog Keeps Bringing Toys Into His Mom’s Bathtub, And She Comes Up With An Unexpected Solution

When a quirky California dog’s obsession with the bathtub started ruining his mom’s relaxation time, she had to get creative. Her brilliant solution gave them both exactly what they wanted.

An Irresistible Sound

For most dogs, the sound of running water means bath time—a dreaded event to be avoided at all costs.

But for a sweet, quirky California dog named Finn, that sound was an irresistible invitation to play.

As soon as Finn heard the water running, he was always the first one to rush into the bathroom.

He wasn’t there to get clean, however; he was there to share his favorite things with the water.

The Soggy Gifts

Finn developed a unique hobby that quickly became a daily routine.

He absolutely loved dropping his toys right into his mom’s bathtub.

There was no stopping him once he got started, and he would use whatever items he could find around the house.

From stray socks to stuffed animals and tennis balls, Finn loved bringing his soggy gifts to the tub.

Goodbye, Relaxation

Finn found great joy in his unusual hobby, often looking incredibly proud of his aquatic contributions.

His mom found the behavior very endearing, but it came with a significant downside.

Finn was completely disrupting her alone time, making it impossible to enjoy a peaceful soak.

The constant barrage of toys splashing into the water was getting a little out of control.

Failed Interventions

Knowing she needed to find a solution so she could finally relax, Mom started trying different tactics.

She usually kept the bathroom door wide open, so her first instinct was to simply close the door more.

Unfortunately, Finn was a determined pup, and he easily found a way to break in anyway.

She even tried keeping him distracted with a toy outside the bathroom, but he always found his way back to the tub.

Calling In Backup

When her own methods failed to keep the bathroom toy-free, Mom decided to call in some backup.

She enlisted her husband to try and coax Finn out of the bathroom while she was in the tub.

“All right, Finn, come on,” her husband would call out, hoping to lead the dog away.

But Finn was far too dedicated to his hobby, and the verbal commands simply did not work.

A Brilliant Idea

None of the standard solutions were working, and Mom jokingly asked Finn if he had any suggestions.

That’s when a brilliant idea finally struck her.

If Finn refused to stay away from her bathtub, why not just get him his very own?

She went online and began browsing, determined to find the perfect tub for her water-obsessed dog.

The Special Delivery

It didn’t take long for Mom to find exactly what she was looking for.

When the large box finally arrived at their home, she was super excited to show it to him.

“Look what’s here,” she told Finn, asking if he wanted to help open it up.

As soon as she started setting the new tub up outside, Finn could see it through the window and started going crazy.

Finn’s Personal Oasis

Mom let Finn out the door, and he rushed over to inspect his brand-new outdoor tub.

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Finn immediately started bringing his favorite toys into the water.

This time, however, he didn’t just drop them in—he actually climbed in to join them.

He seemed incredibly happy to finally have his very own tub of water to play in without any rules.

A Peaceful Compromise

The new outdoor setup turned out to be the perfect compromise for the whole family.

After Finn discovered the joy of having his own personal tub, his indoor habits began to change.

He finally started leaving his mom alone during her bath times, giving her the peace she had been craving.

Now, Mom gets her much-needed relaxation, and Finn gets to enjoy his soggy toys all to himself.
