Florida Dog Refuses To Leave The Pool, And Her Owner Discovers Just How Far She’ll Go
Pearl, a Florida dog, would live in the swimming pool if she could. Her hilarious, stubborn antics to stay in the water have earned her the title of little fishy.
A Fetch-Loving Pup
For a sweet Florida dog named Pearl, life is all about playtime.
She is an incredibly cute pup who thrives on activity and interaction.
According to her owner, Pearl absolutely has to have someone play fetch with her.
But there is one place where this playful dog truly feels at home, and it involves a lot of splashing.
The Queen Of The Pool
Pearl’s owner jokes that the water-loving pup would live in the pool if she could.
The second her paws hit the water, her entire demeanor changes.
“It’s all business at that point,” her owner explained.
For Pearl, stepping into the pool means it is officially her time to shine.
Potty Breaks Gone Wrong
Managing a dog with such a strong love for swimming can be a daily challenge.
Even simple routines, like going outside for a bathroom break, quickly turn into aquatic adventures.
Her owner will gently instruct her to “go potty, and only potty.”
But the temptation of the water is usually just too much for the mischievous pup to resist.
A Stubborn Swimmer
Getting Pearl out of the water is entirely different battle.
When it is time to dry off, her owner calls out to her, but Pearl is notoriously stubborn.
She will float in the water, completely ignoring the pleas for her to get out.
Her owner often has to playfully scold the “little stinker” just to get her attention.
The Ultimate Puppy-Dog Eyes
When Pearl is finally forced to leave her beloved pool, she makes her displeasure known.
She gets a little mad at her owner for ending the fun.
But her frustration quickly turns into a calculated begging routine.
She sits by the edge of the water, deploying her most powerful puppy-dog eyes in hopes of getting back in—and it usually works.
The Great Soapy Escape
Pearl’s dedication to the pool reached a hilarious peak during a routine grooming session.
Her owner was trying to give her a quick bath, getting her all lathered up with soap.
Suddenly, the slippery pup managed to get off her leash.
Covered in suds, Pearl made a mad dash straight for the swimming pool, diving right back in.
A True Water Dog
Despite the soapy mess and the constant struggle to keep her dry, Pearl’s owner can’t help but laugh.
She is a water dog through and through, and keeping her away from the pool is nearly impossible.
Her family has come to accept that their sweet pup simply belongs in the water.
As her owner lovingly tells her while she paddles around, “Everybody thinks you’re a fish.”
