A gentle pit bull mix named Hashbrown has been waiting in an Arkansas shelter for far too long, overlooked simply because of local breed restrictions.

Day after day, he watches as other dogs at his shelter find their families and walk out the front doors. Yet, this sweet boy remains behind the kennel bars, passed over time and time again.
