When Addison and Brendan first met Theo, it was a somewhat sad experience.

Theo’s recovery required patience, so Addison and Brendan took things incredibly slow.
They introduced a strict routine of diet food, regular walks, and absolutely no more human food.
Theo wasn’t thrilled about the changes at first, but his new parents remained firm out of love.

Running Toward The Future
When Theo was first rescued, he weighed 14.4 pounds, a heavy burden for such a small frame.
Just over a year later, he dropped to under nine pounds, losing more than a third of his body weight.
While he still has some extra skin, his vet hopes he will eventually settle between seven and eight pounds.
Now, whenever Theo breaks into a run down the street, Addison and Brendan get emotional, marveling at how far their once-unhappy dog has come.
