An Unbelievable Sight
When rescuers first laid eyes on the unlikely pair, they could hardly believe what they were seeing.
A tiny Chihuahua was casually perched on the back of a large pig, looking completely at ease.
It was a scene straight out of an animated movie, leaving everyone who witnessed it absolutely stunned.
The duo, perfectly named Timon and Pumba, proved that true friendship knows no bounds.
A Cartoon Come to Life
Timon the Chihuahua loved nothing more than catching a ride on his best friend’s back.
What was even more surprising was that Pumba clearly loved having the little dog up there.
Rescuers noted that watching them interact was exactly like watching a cartoon come to life.

Timon was definitely a little overwhelmed by his massive new surroundings.
A Humorous Misunderstanding
Used to his personal chauffeur, Timon assumed all pigs operated just like Pumba.
He bravely tried to jump on the backs of the other pigs at the sanctuary.
However, the other pigs weren’t having it, quickly letting the Chihuahua know that Pumba was a special case.
This funny behavior made the rescuers wonder how their incredible bond started in the first place.
A Mysterious Past
The duo had been rescued by the Arizona Humane Society, who remained pretty tight-lipped about their specific history.
However, the sanctuary staff could piece together a few clues about their past.
Because Pumba is an older pig, they assumed little Timon was basically thrown in with him at some point.

Blossoming Personalities

When the time was right, they made the decision to adopt out Timon.
The tiny Chihuahua found the perfect home with the narrator’s mother and sister.
He is now a very happy little dog living alongside two other Chihuahuas.
Forever Friends
Even though they no longer live together, their incredible bond hasn’t been forgotten.
From time to time, Timon visits the sanctuary to see his old buddy.
He immediately goes straight back to Pumba to check on him and say hi.
