After two hours of running and digging, the tired but happy pups load back onto the bus. It’s time for them to head back home for the day.
But before they go, Hope always makes sure to pass out some well-deserved treats. “Would we like our snacks today?” she asks her attentive audience.
She calls them out by name—Indy, Okie Pokie, and Zeppelin—handing out goodies to each passenger.
While every dog on the bus is deeply loved, Zeppelin holds a unique place in Hope’s heart.
A Terrifying Accident
Zeppelin, a handsome German Shepherd, is a little different than the rest of the pack members. He was actually Hope’s official first client.
Their deep bond stems from a frightening incident that happened years ago. One day, Hope was in her kitchen when she heard a blood-curdling squeal from outside.
She rushed out instantly and discovered that Zeppelin had been hit by a car. Without hesitation, she jumped into action.
Hope spoke with Zeppelin’s mom, grabbed her car, and helped rush the injured dog straight to the vet for emergency care.
An Unbreakable Connection
The terrifying ordeal could have ended in tragedy, but Zeppelin was a fighter. He received the medical attention he needed and was finally allowed to go home.
When the brave German Shepherd returned, he hadn’t forgotten the kind neighbor who saved him. He remembered exactly who Hope was.
