Lonely Pennsylvania Dog Waited Inside A Caravan Crate Nearly All Day

After spending his early days confined to a crate, a lovable dog named Reginald finally found a family who lets him rule the couch. Now, he spends his days sliding down stairs and cuddling with his favorite human.

A Slow Start To The Day

Every morning in Pennsylvania, Reginald looks down the staircase and decides he simply isn’t feeling it.

Instead of bounding down the steps like a typical dog, he prefers to gently slide his way into the morning.

He can clear the stairs in three jumps if he really wants to, but he almost never chooses to exert that much energy.

Today, he is a master of relaxation, but his life wasn’t always filled with such leisurely comfort.

Before he found his forever home, Reginald’s living situation was far from ideal.

He lived in a caravan and was kept in a crate nearly all the time.

His previous owner ran a grooming business and originally thought she could take him to work with her.

Unfortunately, Reginald was far too excitable for the grooming shop, and her husband wasn’t allowed to bring the dog to his workplace either.

Realizing It Wasn’t Fair

The previous owners only had Reginald for about a month.

They quickly realized that keeping him crated all day just wasn’t fair to the energetic pup.

It wasn’t a matter of not caring; it simply wasn’t the right fit for his needs.

Meanwhile, in the UK, a woman named Kate and her partner Graham were looking for a companion for their only dog, Megan.

An Instant Connection

Kate and Graham had just returned from a holiday when they went to meet Reginald.

The connection between the couple and the dog was absolutely instant.

He came hounding into the room, jumped right up at Kate, and demanded her attention.

When she started stroking his belly, he threw his head back and happily let her rub his tummy for ages.

Knowing he was the perfect fit for their family, Kate and Graham took Reginald home that very same day.

From the moment he stepped through their front door, his life completely changed.

He has never been put in a crate since that day.

Instead, he is free to roam, sleep, and be completely happy all the time.

The Master Of Laziness

These days, Reginald is known for his hilariously lazy antics.

He loves going for walks and visiting the beach, but he equally loves sleeping in front of the fire.

He will cuddle with his family for hours, often resting his arm on the furniture like a human.

If someone accidentally sits in his designated seat, he will cry and bark until he gets it back.

While Reginald loves everyone, he has formed an inseparable bond with Graham.

He will patiently sit and wait until his dad comes home from work every day.

Once Graham is home, the two of them will sit together on the couch all evening.

Kate jokes that they are just like two old men, sitting there watching rubbish on the television.

Wrapped Around Their Fingers

Despite his lazy nature, Reginald definitely knows how to make his demands heard.

Even though dinner isn’t until five o’clock, he starts barking at three o’clock sharp just to let them know he’s hungry.

He is easily spooked by cats and hates going to the vet, but his family wouldn’t trade his big character for anything.

He is a big cuddly bear who officially has his entire family wrapped around his little finger.
