Little Bunnypop was born with missing toes and pads, but this feisty California pup didn’t let that slow her down. With custom prosthetics and a lot of heart, she’s now bringing joy to children who need it most.
A Joyful Spirit
Some dogs are born with the odds stacked completely against them.
For a tiny, spirited pup named Little Bunnypop, the world could have been a very difficult place to navigate.
Even though her feet are severely deformed, she has never let her physical limitations dampen her incredible zest for life.
A Difficult Beginning
Little Bunnypop was the tragic product of overbreeding.
Because of this, she was born with a severe birth defect that affected all four of her feet.
She is missing her toes and her paw pads, leaving her without the natural cushioning most dogs rely on to walk and play.
The Toll Of Playtime
Naturally, her birth defect causes her some significant issues when she tries to act like a normal, active dog.
If she is running for a long period of time, the impact takes a harsh toll on her body.
Her feet get incredibly sore, and they even start to swell from the friction of the ground.
Teeny Custom Legs
To give her the quality of life she deserved, her caretakers knew they had to find a creative solution.
She was fitted for custom prosthetics, specially made just for her unique little feet.
When the first one arrived, her owner marveled at the tiny device, exclaiming, “Leg one – it’s teeny!”
A Feisty Adjustment
The new prosthetics were designed to keep everything protected so she could run without pain.
When they were first put onto her legs, Bunnypop wasn’t entirely sure what to make of the strange attachments.

With this new mission in mind, her owner started training her to do special tricks.
Bunnypop loved the mental stimulation right away and picked up everything incredibly quickly.
From learning to “speak” on command to picking up items and going to her box, her progress was truly remarkable.

Today, this special little dog has made a huge impact on the children she visits.
They often tell her owner how inspiring she is to them, as they watch her navigate the world with such joy.
