A Spirited Leader

When Maizie first joined her family, she was a bundle of high-energy puppy joy. She was incredibly playful and absolutely loved going on outdoor adventures.

Running through the woods was one of her favorite things in the world. She had a vibrant personality that drew everyone in.

On pack walks in the park, Maizie always had to be the leader. All the other dogs would happily follow her trail as she confidently led the way.

A Sudden Shift

Everything changed shortly before Thanksgiving in 2021. Maizie woke up one morning in visible pain, instantly alarming her family.

They immediately rushed her to the veterinarian, hoping for a simple explanation and a quick fix.

Instead, they were met with a terrifying progression of symptoms that no pet parent is ever prepared to see.

Losing Her Mobility

Knowing they had to give her a chance at a normal life, her family got her a custom doggie wheelchair.

Her owner began taking her back to the park in her wheels so she could be with the other dogs again.
