California Woman Notices Everyone Staring At Her In A Pizza Place, Then Realizes What Her Dog Is Doing
After being abandoned and bounced around, George finally found a loving home in California. But it wasn’t until a chance encounter at a pizza place that his new mom discovered his unique obsession with fire trucks.
A Rough Start In Life

George didn’t always have a reason to sing. Before he found his forever home, this sweet dog had a pretty rough past.
His previous owner didn’t look after him properly. Eventually, they dropped him off at a shelter, simply wanting to get rid of him.
From there, George’s life became a confusing series of transitions. He was bounced around from the shelter to a foster agency, waiting for someone to finally choose him.
Love At First Sight

Everything changed when a young woman’s old college roommate began fostering George.
The moment she saw a picture of the sweet dog, she felt an instant connection. “I need this dog,” she thought, even before she knew anything about his difficult backstory.
She decided to adopt him, determined to give him the stable, loving home he had always deserved.
Learning To Trust Again
When George first arrived at his new home, he had a lot of healing to do. His new mom knew she had to be patient with him.
At first, her main goal was simply showing him what love looked like. She needed to prove to him that he was safe and that he could finally trust her.
Slowly but surely, the walls George had built around his heart began to come down.
No Personal Space

As George realized he was finally home, his true personality began to shine through. He went from being a timid rescue dog to a total cuddle bug.
Before long, his mom would be sitting on the couch, and George would physically lie right on top of her. He became incredibly attached to his new favorite person.
His mom’s dad even started calling him “no personal space” because of how much he loved being close to his family.
A Surprise At The Pizza Place
George’s life was peaceful and happy, but he was hiding a hilarious secret talent. His mom discovered it completely by accident.
One day, they were sitting together at a pizza place in San Diego. Suddenly, a fire truck went speeding by with its sirens blaring.
Out of nowhere, George started making a loud, dramatic sound. His mom was completely caught off guard.
Discovering His Calling

Hearing the strange noise, George’s mom started looking around, wondering whose dog was making such a racket. Then she noticed everyone was looking at her.
“Is that my dog?” she realized with a laugh. It was George’s first time howling at a siren, but it certainly wouldn’t be his last.
After that day, every time a fire truck went by, she would wait to see if he would do it again. He never disappointed her.
The Volunteer Firefighter

Now, George’s mom likes to joke that he must have been a fireman in a past life. Anytime a fire engine or siren goes by, he will howl until it fades away.
He loves doing it from the comfort of the couch, but he’ll perform his siren song pretty much anywhere he can hear it.
People absolutely love his unique habit. They often joke that the fire department needs to recruit him, asking his mom how she trained him to do it. “I did not train him,” she always laughs.
A Happy, Vocal Life

After he finishes his howling duties, George always looks directly at his mom, as if asking, “Did I do a good job?” She always reassures him that he did.
He has become quite the “drama king,” demanding attention and refusing to stop until he gets it. His friends think it’s hilarious how vocal he is every time he sees them.
To keep him happy, his mom takes him everywhere she can, including daily trips to the beach. Having a clingy dog might be hard sometimes, but as his mom says, no one can resist his adorable face.
