Washington Dog Hidden At The Back Of The Rescue Proves She Has A Deep Soul When Her Adopter Starts To Cry
A sweet dog named Shanti lost everything and ended up ignored at the back of a Washington rescue. But once she found a family, she showed just how much love she had to give.
Hidden In The Shadows
When Shanti’s original owner was diagnosed with a terminal illness, he could no longer care for her. His mother stepped in to help, but she ultimately found a rescuer in Mexico who brought dogs to the United States.
That journey eventually led the sweet dog to a rescue organization in Washington state. However, arriving at the rescue didn’t immediately solve her problems.
According to the fosters, Shanti was placed at the very back of the facility. She sat there for a couple of months, generating almost no interest from potential adopters.
She wasn’t being showcased up front where families could see her. Instead, she was the dog getting completely ignored in the shadows.
When her future adopter heard about this heartbreaking situation, she knew exactly what she had to do. “I’m like, oh my gosh, of course I was going to go get her,” she recalled. “I’m not going to let her live like that.”
